The Bloomington Thanksgiving Farmers' Market, presented by the Pantagraph, is celebrating its third year at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum. Produce, meats, art, and the star of the Thanksgiving table - TURKEYS - will all be availalbe for purchase. Holiday Pictures with the Reindeer, November 14, 21 and 29: Have your family holiday picture taken with a Miller Park Zoo reindeer! Three poses will be captured by a photographer and transferred to CD. If weather is inclement, a sheltered area will be used. Reservations and prepayment should be made in advance at the zoo. Call (309) 434-2250 for appointment times and additional information. Cost $$15 per family (zoo admission not included in this fee).

Christmas at the Mansions: Dec. 19, 2009, 4-9 p.m. Tickets: $$10/person in advance; $$12/person at the door. Evening tours of 3 of Bloomington-Normal, Illinois' most historic homes-David Davis, Vrooman & Broadview Mansions, elegantly decorated for a Victorian Christmas—PLUS a “mystery mansion,” which is not usually open for public tours. At the Davis Mansion, kids will love the teddy bear tea party, antique dolls and toys, and a chance to taste Victorian sweets--including peppermint pigs and chocolate cockroaches! Free shuttle bus service starts at Davis Mansion (1000 Monroe Dr., Bl) or Wesley United Methodist Church (502 E. Front St.) parking lot and takes visitors to all the other mansions.
