Kennell-Wyatt

WASHBURN -- Maranda Kennell and Chad Wyatt, both of Chesterfield, Mo., were married at 4 p.m. Aug. 23, 2008, at the Mackinaw Valley Vineyard, Mackinaw.

Their parents are Les and Jill Kennell of Washburn and Mike and Patti Wyatt of Osceola, Ark.

The matron of honor was Cari Swanson; bridesmaids were Cassie Modro, Anna Peters, and Kelly Conklin. The best man was Deric Wyatt; groomsmen were Craig Mione, Landon Kennell and Levi Kennell. The flower girls were Libbie and Cassie Oltman.

A reception was held at The Chateau, Bloomington.

The bride graduated from Illinois Central College in 2004 as a physical therapist assistant. The groom graduated from Murray State University in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in chemistry.

The couple resides in Chesterfield, Mo.

Iliff-Engelbrecht

BLOOMINGTON -- Mary Iliff and Bryan Engelbrecht, both of Springfield were married at 1 p.m. June 14, 2008, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bloomington.

A reception was held at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts in Bloomington, followed by a wedding trip cruise to Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica.

Their parents are Monica and John Iliff and Del and Dean Engelbrecht, all of Bloomington.

Hillary Iliff was maid of honor and Sheila Hawk Bray was matron of honor. Megan Iliff Smallwood and Melody Engelbrecht were bridesmaids. David Slabe was best man. Mike Engelbrecht, Tony Kimmell and John Engelbrecht were groomsmen.

The bride is a graduate of University High School. She earned her bachelor's degree in fine arts from Illinois State University in 2006. She is employed at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. The groom is a graduate of Normal Community West High School. He earned his bachelor's degree in history from Illinois State University in 2005. He works as a revenue tax specialist I with the Illinois Department of Aging in Springfield.

The couple resides in Cantrall.

Haas-Simpsen

EL PASO -- Aja Haas of El Paso and Chase Simpsen of Colfax were married at 6:30 p.m. May 30, 2008, at the Riverfront, Peoria.

The bride's parents are Gene and Amy Clark, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Matt Haas, El Paso. The groom's parents are Shawn and Lorann Simpsen, Colfax.

Attending the bride were Hayley Sparrow, maid of honor, and bridesmaids, Athena Clark, Libby Klingler, Courtney Simpsen and Telisa Fickes.

Petrone-Thoennes

NORMAL -- Lisa Ann Petrone of Springfield and Christopher Brian Thoennes of Normal were married at 2 p.m. Nov. 24, 2007, at Blessed Sacrament Church, Springfield.

The reception was at The Inn at 835, Springfield, followed by a wedding trip to Oahu, Hawaii.

Their parents are Daniel and Sally Petrone of Springfield, and Brian and Mary Kay Thoennes of Normal.

The matron of honor was Sarah Abete; bridesmaids were Becky Nash, Lisa Randolph, Becky Johnson, Amanda Thoennes and Kelly Samuelson.

The best man was Keith Berlin; groomsmen were Tariq Abujabir, Jake Lunzer, Mark Larsen, David Shoot and Alex Thoennes.

The bride earned a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology and English from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and master's degree in speech-language pathology from Illinois State University.

She is employed as a speech-language pathologist in Washington.

The groom earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He is employed as a banker at Commerce Bank.

The couple resides in Bloomington.

CHATSWORTH -- Krista Builta and Trever Kuipers, both of Chatsworth, were married at 3 p.m. May 31, 2008, at Onarga United Methodist Church, Onarga.

Her parents are Wayne and Marge Builta of LeRoy. His parents are Greg and Kathy Kuipers of Onarga.

The bride's attendants were Kara Builta, maid of honor; Kyla DeOrnellas, Marla Todd and Amy Rademaker, bridesmaids. The groom's attendants were Seth McIntyre, best man; Kirk Builta, Ron DeOrnellas and Josh St. Peters, groomsmen. The ushers were John Todd and Ryan Rademaker.

The reception was at The Linden, Rantoul, followed by a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico.

Both graduated from the University of Illinois. She is field service manager with Precision Soya of Central Illinois. He is manager of Select Exotics.

Fandel-Spangler

METAMORA -- Kayla Catharina Fandel and Ross McCully Spangler, both of Metamora, were married at 3 p.m. Aug. 2, 2008, at Christian Union Church, Metamora.

The reception was at the Countryside Banquet Facility in Washington, followed by a wedding trip to Hawaii.

Their parents are Ronald and Julie Fandel of Metamora and Daniel and Marjorie Spangler of Washburn.

The groom is a graduate of El Paso High School and Illinois State University. He is a farmer for Studer Fertilizer.

She is a pharmaceutical sales representative for Endo Pharmaceuticals. The groom is a graduate of Lyons Township High School and the University of Illinois, with a degree in journalism. He is in sales at the Chicago Title Insurance Co.

The groom's is a 2003 graduate of Gridley High School, and is a contractor for Andersen Windows & Doors, and is the owner of J & K Mowing.

The groom received his bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Illinois in May 2008. He is a graduate student in engineering at the University of Illinois.

Vaughn-Petty

NORMAL --Dennis Neal Vaughn, formerly of Normal, and Mark Petty, both of San Francisco, Calif., were married at 2 p.m. Aug. 30, 2008, at San Francisco's LGBT Center, San Francisco, Calif., followed by a reception.

Vaughn received his master of art degree from Illinois State University. He is a filmmaker. Petty is employed in telecommunications.

NORMAL -- Rebecca Phillips and Eric Bonjour, both of Forest Park, were married Aug. 23, 2008, at Lake Bloomington, Hudson. The reception was held at Timber Pointe Outdoor Center, followed by a wedding trip to Chicago.

Her parents are Lori Prochnow of Peoria, and Richard and Kathleen Phillips of Normal. His parents are Doris Bonjour of Normal, and Robert and Angela Bonjour of Pekin.

Jessica White was maid of honor. The flower girl was Megan Barker. Adam Bonjour was best man. Ben Dennis, Daniel Phillips and David Phillips were ushers. The ring bearer was Nick Bonjour.

The bride received her bachelor of science degree in therapeutic recreation from Illinois State University.

She is a recreation therapist at Edward Hines Veterans Hospital.

The groom is a computing and digital media student at DePaul University. He is employed in tech support.

25th anniversary for Jeffrey, Kathy Misch

DOWNS -- Jeffrey and Kathy Misch of Downs celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with dinner and dancing Aug. 23 at The Challenger Learning Center and CJ's, Bloomington, hosted by their children.

Misch and Kathy Hadfield were married Aug. 20, 1983, at the College Avenue Baptist Church, Normal. Their attendants were Michelle Ropp and Harold Misch Jr.

They are the parents of Kelly (Logan) Geigner of Bloomington, Casey (Christy) Misch of Downs, Travis Misch of Downs and McKayla Jo Misch at home.

They have one granddaughter.

They are owners of Misch Excavating and Rooter Man.

50th anniversary for Cecil, Carol Crow

NORMAL -- Cecil and Carol Crow of Normal will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner and a trip to Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.

Crow and Carol Hoog were married Sept. 28, 1958, at Four Square Church, Bloomington. Their attendants were John Hoog and Virginia Hoog.

They are the parents of Randy Crow of Normal; and Katherine Carroll and Ed Crow, both of Bloomington.

They have eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He retired from Dennison Ford in 2005.

She retired from Illinois State University as a building service worker in 2004.

50th anniversary for Jack, Ann Kirwan

BLOOMINGTON -- Jack and Ann Kirwan of Reno, Nev., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an upcoming trip in the spring.

Kirwan and Ann McKeon were married Sept. 20, 1958, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bloomington. Their attendants were Margaret McKeon Smith and Bill Kirwan.

They are the parents of Nancy Kirwan of Campbell, Calif., and Tom Kirwan, Meadow Vista, Calif.

They have two grandchildren.

He worked for Microwave Communications Division of Harris Corp., Redwood Shores, Calif., retiring in 2000.

70th anniversary for William, Marjorie Stadscholt

MASON CITY -- William and Marjorie Stadscholt of Mason City will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary.

Stadscholt and Marjorie Rabbe were married Oct. 15, 1938, at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Allens Grove.

They are the parents of Billy L. Stadscholt of Mason City; and Robert G. (Donna) Stadscholt of Normal.

They have 4 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

65th anniversary for Herman, JoHanna Seggerman

SECOR -- Herman and JoHanna Seggerman of Secor will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with an open house from 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 11 in the parsonage at St. John's Lutheran Church, Secor, hosted by their children.

Seggerman and JoHanna Mueller were married Oct. 10, 1943, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minonk. Their attendants were Martha Huxtable and Fred Huxtable.

They are the parents of Larry (Barb) Seggerman of Secor, Bill (Ilse) Seggerman of Eureka and Bob (Kathy) Seggerman of Secor.

They have six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He retired from the highway department in Woodford County.

She retired as postmaster from the Secor Post Office.

50th anniversary for James, Anne McGowan

NORMAL -- James and Anne McGowan of Normal celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a Canadian vacation.

McGowan and Anne Weston were married July 3, 1958, in Fort Devens, Mass. Their attendants were Charles Davis and Mary Patricia McGowan.

They are the parents of Andrew (Laura) McGowan of Peoria; Caitlin (Andy) Visser of Las Vegas, Nev.; and Michael James McGowan of Durham, N.C.

They have three grandchildren.

He was an English professor at Illinois Wesleyan University, retiring in 2000. She was a teacher and then director at the Ecology Action Center, retiring in 2005.

50th anniversary for Eldon, Hazel Smith

BLOOMINGTON -- Eldon and Hazel Smith of Bloomington will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 12 at Bank of Illinois, 4th floor, 200 W. College Ave, Normal.

Smith and Hazel Bivans were married Oct. 10, 1958, in Los Angeles, Calif. Their attendants were Sherman and Della Taylor.

They are the parents of E. Marty (Cathy) Smith of Paxton, Eugene (Susan) Smith of St. Anne and George (Kristine) Smith of Bradenton, Fla.

They have six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He retired as a millwright in 1992.

She retired as a Realtor in 1998.

60th anniversary for Arland, Barbara Morrow

CLINTON -- Arland and Barbara Morrow of rural Clinton will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Kenney Heritage Center, Kenney.

Morrow and Barbara Wasson were married Sept, 11, 1948, in Clinton. Their attendants were Walt and Alice Morrow.

They are the parents of Ray (Gloria) Morrow of Mount Pulaski.

They have two grandsons.

25th anniversary for Steve, Kathy Cravens

DANVERS -- Steve and Kathy Cravens of Danvers will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary by traveling Route 66 to Los Angeles this month.

Cravens and Kathy Dabney were married Oct. 15, 1983, at The United Church, Heyworth. Their attendants were Pat Walton and Heidi Leitzen.

They are the parents of Karmen of Bloomington and Erik, of Normal.

They are both employed at State Farm Insurance Cos.

Deacon William Ramsey -- 8-pound, 1-ounce son of Bill and Michelle Ramsey of El Paso, born Aug. 13, 2008. Sibling: Kaleb Barth, 10. Grandparents: Marcus and Janalyn Miller of Petersburg, and Robert and Barb Ramsey of Kappa.

Mya Isabelle Wiegman -- 9-pound, 4-ounce daughter of Matthew and Rachel Wiegman of Lake Zurich born Sept. 17, 2008. Grandparents: Rick and Rey Jannusch of Shirley, and Diane Wiegman of Orland Park. Great-grandparents: Laurel Jannusch of Shirley, Robert Rehtmeyer of Funks Grove, and Una Veneris of Orland Park. She is middle named for her maternal great-great-grandmother..

Alexander Edward Fuller -- 7-pound, 7-ounce son of Michael and Ann Fuller of Bloomington, born Aug. 25, 2008. Siblings: Jacob, 3; Kailyn, 2. Grandparents: Bill and Peg Wetzel of Bloomington, and David and Mary Ann Fuller of Lakewood Ranch, Fla. Great-grandparent: Joan Linton of Pleasant Hill, Ohio. He shares his middle name with his late great-grandfather, Edward Rust.

Greyson Thomas Thome -- 7-pound, 8-ounce son of Eric and Jenni Thome of Bloomington, born Sept. 9, 2008. Siblings: Addyson Ann, 1. Grandparents: Steve and Carol Lucke of Maquoketa, Iowa, and the late Clete Gerlach; Tom and Karen Thome of Osage, Iowa.
