HEYWORTH -- Cheryl Prescott and Eron Snodgrass, both of Heyworth, were united in marriage at 4 p.m. April 18, 2009, at Heyworth Christian Church.

A reception followed at Crestwicke Country Club.

Their parents are Carol Prescott, Heyworth, and Larry and Janet Snodgrass, Heyworth.

Mark and Mike Prescott and Larry Snodgrass were ushers.

The bride received an associate in applied science degree in nursing from Parkland Community College and a bachelor of science in nursing from Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University. The groom received his associate's degree in applied science from Spoon River College and is a graduate of American College of Technology in computer electronics. He is a parts professional at Cummins Crosspoint.

BLOOMINGTON -- Deanna Schweitzer and Bryant Theobald, both of Bloomington, were married at 1 p.m. March 6, 2009, in Bloomington.

Her parents are Michael and Donna Schweitzer and Douglas Doran, all of Bloomington. His parents are David and Wilma Theobald of Bloomington.

The bride graduated from Heartland Community College and Healthy Connections School of Massage Therapy.

She is a sales representative at State Farm Insurance Cos. and massage therapist at TM Hair Design.

Prince and Della Sides were married June 14, 1959, at the Free Methodist Church, Normal.

They are the parents of Kathleen Prince, Bloomington; Kenneth Prince, LeRoy; David (Tanya) Prince, Valrico, Fla.; and Diana Prince, Normal.

They have five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He retired in 1997 from State Farm Insurance Cos. She is a cake decorator and a professional crafter.

50th for Tom, Faye Hanson

NORMAL -- Tom and Faye Hanson of Normal will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner, hosted by their children, and several trips are also planned.

Hanson and Faye Wirrick were married June 19, 1959, at Wesley Methodist Church, Bloomington. Their attendants were Phyllis Peterson Bernstein and Jerry Pines.

They are the parents of Tamara (Ron) Irons of Bloomington, Teri (Matthew) Kraft of Normal and Toni (George) Stiger of Bloomington.

They have seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He retired in 1997 from Country Mutual Insurance after 32 years.

ANCHOR -- Marvin and Iva Willke of rural Anchor will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner June 25 at Railside Golf Club, Gibson City.

Willke and Iva Winterland were married June 12, 1949, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor.

Anna Mae Wieting and Myron Willke were their attendants.

They are the parents of Marlene Dewey of Heyworth; Gary Willke of Nazareth, Pa.; Brenda Tomic of Normal; and Rita Meredith of Bowling Green, Ky.

They have 10 grandchildren.

They are semi-retired from farming on the Willke homestead.

Meredith and Donna Purkey were married June 14, 1959. Their attendants were Elizabeth Murray and Frank Meredith.

They are the parents of John Scott, Craig and Audra (Keith) Watkins, all of Bloomington; and Ted (Becky) of LeRoy. They have six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He has worked for Illinois Graphics Inc. for 50 years. She works for Information Resources.

60th for James, Vera Roderick

NORMAL -- James and Vera Roderick of Normal celebrated their 60th anniversary with a family reunion in May in Louisville, Ky.

Roderick and Vera Morgan were married June 19, 1949, in Montpelier, Ind.

They are the parents of Becky (Mark) Ehredt, Normal; Rick (Carol) Roderick, Louisville, Ky.; and Ray (Karyn) Roderick, New York City.

They have four grandchildren.

He taught music at Illinois State University from 1956 until his retirement in 1982.

She taught first and third grades in Indiana before moving to Illinois.

CHENOA -- Robert and Alma Brucker will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house hosted by their children from 3 to 5 p.m. June 21 at Pontiac Elks Lodge.

Brucker and Alma Rhoda were married June 21, 1959, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Chenoa. Erma Kahle and Loren Schuler were their attendants.

They are the parents of Michael (Beth) Brucker, Sidney; Karen (Mark) Heins, Chenoa; John (Anna) Brucker, Lake Forest; and Paul (Jennifer) Brucker, Brownsburg, Ind.

They have seven grandchildren.

They are both retired from farming.

50th for Norm, Kay Alpers

COOKSVILLE -- Norma and Kay Alpers of Rockton, formerly of Cooksville, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Rockton, and a family vacation to Fort Walton Beach, Fla.

Alpers and Kay Hensley were married June 20, 1959, at the Union Church in Cooksville. Their attendants were Alice Maple Ledbetter and Wallace Alpers.

They are the parents of Lisa (Dwayne) White of Roscoe; Karin (Rick) Taylor of Roscoe; Amy (John-Mark) Beard of Rockton; and Stephanie (Jamin) Unger of Roscoe.

They have four grandchildren.

He was a high school educator and administrator, retiring in 2002. She was a piano teacher, retiring in 2003.

50th for John, Eileen Sronce

NORMAL -- John Loren and Eileen Sronce of Normal, formerly of Hudson, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

Sronce and Eileen Porter were married June 20, 1959, at the First Baptist Church in Pinckneyville. Their attendants were Lillian Bathon and Gene Sronce.

He retired from service station maintenance throughout Central Illinois. She retired from General Electric in Bloomington.

EL PASO -- Emil and Pam Ludy of El Paso celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a family dinner followed by an open house Saturday at Jim's Steak House.

Emil and Pam Jarrett were married June 16, 1984, at the Gregory Church at Lake Bloomington.

Their attendants were Debbie Howard and Brian Ludy.

They are the parents of Robin (John Howe) Ludy, Debbie (Charlie) Howard, Brian (Lauri) Ludy, Russ Starkey Jr., and Mark (Stacy) Ludy.

They have 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was an underwriting consultant at State Farm Insurance Cos., retiring in 2002.

She worked in customer service at Country Companies, retiring in 2000.

Bellas and Louise Stork were married June 18, 1949, at St. Anne's Church, Lancaster, Pa.

They are the parents of Christine (Quinn Loucks), Washington; Ralph Jr. (Connie), Bloomington; Marcia (Rick West), Vermont; Gregory (Kirsten Setterholm), California; Kimberly (Benoit Nault), Arizona; and Laurence (Susan), Colorado.

They have six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

He is professor of English emeritus at Illinois State University. She is a retired nursing instructor from the Mennonite School of Nursing.

50th for Howard, Beverly Hartsock

Hartsock and Beverly Brelsfoard were married May 30, 1959, at St. John's Catholic Church, Clinton.

He retired in 1995 as supervisor at Wallace Business Forms. She retired in 1996 from the Illinois Power Co.

He is the director of Global Vendor Management for RR Donnelley and is the founder of the PC M.D. Co. She retired in 1993.

Quick and Sue Edwards were married June 13, 1959, at the Christian Church in Patoka.

They are the parents of three daughters, Debra (Paul) Bates, Bloomington; Diane (Eliot) Becker, Wilmette; and Chrystal (Dale) Middleton of Blackstone.

The couple operate T and S Quick Enterprises near Blackstone.

Moser and Barbara Nohl were married June 19, 1949, at the Eureka Christian Church Chapel.
