Margaret M. Nelson

GIBSON CITY -- Margaret M. Nelson, 88, of Gibson City died at 8 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 14, 2005) at the Gibson Area Hospital in Gibson City.

Her funeral will be private. The Rev. Scott Henley will officiate. Burial will be in Drummer Township Cemetery in Gibson City. Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Nelson was born Jan. 26, 1917, in Gibson City, a daughter of Peter C. and Kathryn Miller Nelson.

Surviving is a nephew, Robert E. Peeken of Gibson City and a niece, Dorothy (Roger) Misleh of Okala, Fla. She was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters and one nephew.

Ms. Nelson lived all her life in Gibson City. She graduated from Drummer Township High School in 1935. She worked for Dr. Potts in Gibson City for many years. She worked at the Gibson Area Hospital from March 24, 1964, to Oct. 1, 1981. The last four years, she was the credit manager. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Gibson City.

Memorials may be made to the Gibson Area Hospital or the United Methodist Church in Gibson City.
