The AP named wide receiver Laurent Robinson, offensive lineman Stafford Davis and defensive lineman Brent Hawkins to its first team, while Redbird linebacker Cameron Siskowic was a third-team choice. Robinson led the nation with 133.2 yards receiving per game and was second with 7.8 receptions per game. He set ISU and Gateway Conference records with 1,465 yards receiving. Robinson's 86 catches established a school record and tied the Gateway mark. At center, Davis helped the Redbirds average a school-record 477.5 yards per game and 39.2 points. Hawkins set school records with 26? tackles for loss, 17 sacks and seven forced fumbles. He also made 67 tackles. Siskowic paced ISU and the Gateway with 132 tackles. He added 14 tackles for loss and four sacks. Hawkins and Siskowic are both candidates for the Buck Buchanan Award given to I-AA's top defensive player. Buchanan voting will be announced today.
