Lawanda Sue Dawson

HEYWORTH -- Lawanda Sue Dawson, 73, Heyworth, passed away at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 14, 2005) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, 204 E. Cole St., Heyworth, with the Rev. Robert Guy officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Waynesville. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dawson was born Oct. 21, 1932, at Sikeston, Mo., a daughter of Loren and Cappie Kem Moore. She married Clinton P. Dawson on May 10, 1952, in Springfield. He passed away Dec. 7, 2003.

Surviving are four sons Chris Finley, Phoenix, Ariz.; Timothy Dawson, Waynesville; William Dawson, Bloomington; and Harold Wayne Dawson, Heyworth; two daughters, Paula (Larry) Swanzy and Janet (Jake) Hawkins, both of Heyworth; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mildred Cheffers, Buffalo, and Mabel Finley, Phoenix, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gregory Dawson; one brother, Joseph Moore; and one sister, Aileen Cummings.
