STANFORD -- Jessie Don Sumner, 68, Joliet, formerly of Stanford, died at 2:20 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 4, 2005) in Joliet. Service: A graveside service was Wednesday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Stanford, with the Rev. James Gilroy officiating. Burial: Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Stanford. Memorials: American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice. Survivors: his mother, Beatrice Sumner, Stanford; two sons, James (Debbie) Sumner, Stanford, and Jeffery Sumner, Lompoc, Calif.; six grandchildren; and one sister, Christine Smith, Stanford.
