Geraldine J. Jacobson

CORNELL -- Geraldine J. Jacobson, 84, of Cornell died at 12:40 p.m. on Monday (Dec. 19, 2005) at her home.

Her graveside inurnment will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Rowe Cemetery, rural Pontiac, with Rev. Edward Hudelson officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home in Pontiac.

Memorials may be made to Rowe Cemetery or OSF Hospice at Pontiac.

Geraldine was born on July 26, 1921, at Odell, a daughter of the late Claude A. and E. Josephine Gourley Metz. She married John E. Jacobson on March 22, 1940. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1988.

Surviving are her son, John T. Jacobson, Cornell; four grandchildren, John (Beth) Jacobson, Milwaukee, Wis.; Jill Jacobson, Kingston, Ontario; Jeff (Karen) Jacobson, Pontiac; and Jason Jacobson, Pontiac; her great-granddaughter, Sarah Jacobson; her sister, Velma Louderback, Flanagan; and two nieces, Cynthia Patterson, Taos, N.M., and Christine Patterson, Scottsdale, Ariz.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; her sister, Donna Patterson; and her son, Claude Jacobson.
