'Real ID' program reason to worry
The ``Real ID'' act approved in 2005 raises a red flag. To get a driver's license, to fly or participate in any kind of government program, you must produce documents proving birth date, address, Social Security number and other personal information. Homeland Security may also add retinal scan and fingerprinting. And your photo and all this information has to be digital so it can be shared by all 50 states. I'm reminded of Hitler's quick rise to power. He was a powerful persuader, telling people he would give them a better life. He became chancellor. His real goal was to gain absolute power. First, he gained control of the press and took away freedom of speech. He gained control of the German army. He systematically eliminated all organizations that could potentially influence people. Organizations that he could not eliminate, such as education and churches, came under direct Nazi control. Boys and girls were forced into mandatory service with boys from age 6. Hitler Youth numbered nearly 8 million. For workers, they had mandatory membership in a recreational organization, 25 M. Disagree with him and be arrested and killed or sent to concentration camps. He suspended most human rights and allowed for arrest of political adversaries. One of his first actions was to eliminate 4,000 communists either by shooting or sending them to concentration camps. This ``Real ID'' act opens up avenues for our government to have complete control over the people. Make lists, number us, categorize us, etc. And how easy it would be to have your ID stolen. All government workers are not trustworthy. Of course, this is not new. It was prophesied long ago. Revelations 13:17 says that no man may buy or sell without the mark. Or chip under our skin or government-issued ID card. Pat Cline Normal |
