'Annie Get Your Gun' hits mark with its audience

The Pantagraph's Theater Review by Julie Kistler of ``Annie Get Your Gun'' was way off the target!

My wife and I attended the Saturday evening performance. We were fortunate to witness the Prairie Fire Theatre production, which put on an absolutely outstanding show, in every aspect.

Illinois Wesleyan University's Presser Hall, Westbrook Auditorium, proved to be an ideal venue for this musical. Judged by the applause at the conclusion of the show, the review ignored the obvious audience favorite performance, that of Sitting Bull, played by Marlon Nettleton.

The commitment and sacrifices that the large cast and crew must have contributed to prepare for this wonderful musical had to have been enormous, as so much perfection was exhibited on stage and by the orchestra.

``Annie Get Your Gun'' is fine entertainment for all ages and should not be missed by those who enjoy musical theater.

" Mr. Brown!! Thank you so much for writing!! Kate Tombaugh was so outstanding as Annie that it was a shame that more people in Bloomington Normal did not get a chance to see her!! Some day the fortunate few will be saying....I knew her when....your letter brought people to the theater on the last performance ...and we... and all of them....thank you!!!! "

" "Annie Get You Gun" was another great Prairie Fire Theatre production. I loved Marlon as Sitting Bull! "
