Literacy program needs volunteers

NORMAL — The STAR Adult Literacy Program needs volunteers to tutor adults who are learning to read or who are learning English as a second language.

Training sessions are from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 6 and Sept. 13 at 905 N. Main St. For information or to register, call (309) 888-9884. Tutors are expected to volunteer at least once each week.
