Mordis not the only one dealing with injuries
NORMAL -- Reserve safety Brent Holtz of Bloomington will have an MRI on his shoulder Friday to determine the extent of his injury. Holtz had surgery on the other shoulder last season in a redshirt year.
Senior defensive tackle Dan Simnick is sidelined with a herniated disc in his back, but hopes to be back playing soon.
Junior defensive end Wesley Williams has a broken bone in his left hand, but will be able to return to action after he is fitted with a soft cast.
Second string quarterback Kevin Brockway has missed recent practices because of a stomach virus.
Wide receiver Micha Gordon (knee) and running back Geno Blow (hamstring) have returned to practice on a limited basis.
