Man arrested in Bingo Hall faces battery, weapons charges

NORMAL — Robert E. Sylvester, 56, of Bloomington faces three felony charges after his arrest Friday night at the Bingo Hall at Crossroads Center in Normal.

Normal police responded to reports he battered his wife outside the hall. He’s accused of unlawful use of a weapon, aggravated battery in a public place, and domestic battery. He is to have no contact with his wife for the duration of the case.

He was in jail in lieu of $2,500.
