ISU women's basketball finalizes nonconference schedule
NORMAL — The Illinois State women’s basketball team finalized its nonconference schedule on Monday. The Redbirds will play a total of 11 nonconference contests — five at Redbird Arena — and two exhibition games. After hosting Northwest Missouri State on Nov. 3 and Upper Iowa on Nov. 6 in exhibition contests, the Redbirds open the season at Eastern Illinois on Nov. 11. The home opener will be Nov. 15 against Wisconsin-Green Bay. Other home dates include back-to-back games against DePaul (Nov. 25) and Loyola (Nov. 29) and Western Illinois (Dec. 19) and Northern Illinois (Dec. 31). ISU will play twice in the South Florida Shootout against Tennessee-Martin and South Florida (Nov. 17 and 18), then play consecutive road games at Eastern Michigan (Dec. 2), Ball State (Dec. 4) and Miami, Ohio (Dec. 16). The Redbirds finished last season with a 22-11 record and reached the second round of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament.
