Flanagan opens season strong with win over Heyworth

Senior back Aaron Willis rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns, and junior Kyle Depoister added a pair of touchdowns runs as Flanagan opened its season with a conference victory at Heyworth.
Willis bulled in from 2 yards out in the first quarter as Flanagan built a 22-6 advantage. He added an 8-yard TD in the second period. Depoister scored from 18 and 9 yards out, respectively, for the Falcons, who led 32-6 at halftime.
Flanagan quarterback David Harnish, who had a 2-yard scoring run, completed six of eight passes, including a 3-yard scoring toss to Alex Detwiler.
Junior running back Jase Wilson paced Heyworth with 170 yards rushing on 14 carries, including scores from 59 yards out to open the game and an 85-yarder in the third quarter.
