Lightning, rain postpone games

By Pantagraph staff

The University High School soccer team played 19 minutes of its game at Morton Thursday night before it was canceled because of lightning. The contest has been rescheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Morton and the first 19 minutes will be replayed.

Streator football postponed

Streator’s season-opening football game scheduled for tonight at Sycamore has been postponed until 7:30 p.m. Saturday because of heavy rainfall Thursday.
