Fieldcrest airs it out against Dee-Mack

Senior quarterback Jordan Krone threw for 262 yards and five touchdowns as preseason favorite Fieldcrest opened its season with a win over Deer Creek-Mackinaw at Mackinaw.
Krone, who also rushed for one score, completed 10 of 14 pass attempts and connected with Jake Bane on scoring throws of 16 and 63 yards. Krone also had scoring tosses of 32 yards to Josh North, 20 yards to Mick DeRubeis and 14 yards to Alex Paulen.
“The kids adjusted to our new offense and executed very well,’’ Fieldcrest coach Brett Cazalet said.
Deer Creek-Mackinaw quarterback Josh Frahm accounted for all three Chief touchdowns. Frahm had scoring runs of 23 and one yard and added a 44-yard scoring pass in the fourth quarter.
