Joshua Andrews

BLOOMINGTON — U.S. Army Pvt. Joshua C. Andrews, son of Carl Andrews and Melody Zeschke, has completed basic training at Fort Benning, Ga.

Andrews has returned for his senior year at Bloomington High School, after which he will receive his AIT (advanced individual training) at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland.

Casey Dixon

PONTIAC — Army National Guard Pfc. Casey A.S. Dixon, daughter of Tammy Hitch of Pontiac, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Dixon earned distinction as an honor graduate.

She is a 2006 graduate of Pontiac Township High School.
