By Pantagraph staff
BLOOMINGTON — Two American Red Cross of the Heartland volunteers are in Hillside in Northern Illinois to assist people affected by severe flooding.
Sue Kiley of Bloomington and Duane Mock of Gridley have taken the Heartland chapter’s emergency response vehicle to help provide meals and snacks to people who had to leave their homes because of the flooding.
Other Heartland chapter volunteers who continue to provide assistance to flooding victims are Phyllis Bardonski, who is in Oklahoma City; Maralon Stauter and Mike McKnight, who are in Rochester, Minn.; and Janice Miller, who is in DeKalb.
Meanwhile, the Heartland chapter distributed 200 cleanup kits to people whose homes were affected by Fox and Illinois river flooding in Seneca and Marseilles, chapter spokesman Scott Vogel said Monday.
