Ryan should be in jail like any other felon
Advertisement

George Ryan is still not in jail? What kind of garbage is that?

The standard for this convicted felon should not be any different than anyone else. Put him in jail now!

The arrogance of these people is amazingly bold and disgusting. I'm sick of all the politicians and corporate executives getting special treatment, that supposedly does not exist. Do they really think we are that stupid?

Fix it now.

" Dear "To: Yada Yada", isn't this leap year? I stand corrected of the mis-statement made in haste. You are half right and half wrong. I only bring-up Bill Clinton's antics as a matter of precedence upon which all Democrats use as subjective criticism of subsequent administrations. The House did impeach President Bill Clinton, but the Senate acquitted Clinton of both articles of impeachment. During the process, Congressional Democrats continually called for acquittal, citing lack of threshold (of high crimes and misdemanors) and option to try Clinton criminally in court, rather than in the Senate. But, rarely was Clinton declared innocent, even by Democrats, except that Clinton consistently declared himself innocent, but a little bitty stain let him down, spoiled his act as a clown. Clinton was found guilty of lying under oath in Federal District Court in a lawsuit brought against him (by Paula Jones) in a long existing sexual harassment matter. It had nothing to do with Monica's little bitty stain. When the little bitty stain hit the FBI lab, Clinton IMMEDIATELY made a settlement out of court. "

" Now all that has to happen is for everyone who votes to ring Brady and Bradys phones off the hook and demand they do something about this corrupt man not being in jail or lose their precious seats in the next electionl. I strongly urge everyone to follow my lead and make demands of your elected representatives. We must send a message once and for all to these people that they either do our will, or we will get another person who will. "

" Which Democrat are you talking about? It can't be Bill Clinton, because he WAS impeached, under a strikingly similar scenario as you describe for Libby, for the "non-crime" of infidelity. "

" Dear "to: COMMENT", did you notice that Scooter Libby was investigated for a non-crime? Naturally, he was not guilty of a non-crime, but instead he was found guilty of contradicting himself during repeated interrogations over months and months. President Bush did the right thing; he showed mercy to a good man who lost everything and allowed Libby to avoid a few months in a country club facility. Now, there was this guy who the entire world knew committed perjury, yet the Congress not only failed to impeach him, he was never prosecuted. The blame for that one WAS on the Democrats. "

" "Melvin", I will answer your question to "Wat Tyler", but in order to do so, as a precedent, we need to establish the inner and outer workings of our system of justice, and you need to help me to establish that. Ready to help? Why isn't O.J. Simpson in jail. Hint: Once you have answered that for me, then I am 7/8 of the way to answering your question to "Wat Tyler". "

" Melvin, no one ever said that Hilliary wasn't clever. Or to dumb to realize that hiring good lawyers is a great investment. But hundreds of investors have been accused, indicted and convicted for using the same investment strategy that Hillary used making %1000 returns on cattle futures. Ryan is using his wealth and his good will holding off the inevitable sentencing, probably hoping to delay his incarceration until it is too late. I don't think he ever thought it would come to this, as he sold his soul in increments over the years. "

COMMENT wrote on Aug 28, 2007 7:41 AM:

" I have always thought he was a Democrat in Republican clothes. What can you expect? Although not convicted she hardly appears innocent and Hillary is running for president. And many don't care. Remember travelgate, and also the billing records for Whitewater with her sole fingerprints which were found in her office. And then there was her insider trading event. A Republican would have definitely been ousted as first lady or spent time in the pokey. But then if people brainlessly vote for people what do you expect. I also thought that the reason Poshard did not get elected in Illinois was the backlash of the Clinton administration. That backfired because then we got a Democrat in Springfield anyway. That is one thing for Ryan at least he lived in Springfield and respected the governor's office in that way. "
