DANVILLE — An autopsy confirmed that a 50-year-old Danville man drowned when his boat capsized in the Wabash River, Perrysville, Ind., officials said Tuesday.

Michael S. Wiles was found Monday about 10 miles downstream from the spot where the boat overturned near Perrysville, 40 miles southwest of Lafayette, said Fountain County Sheriff Bobby Bass.

Authorities said a boat carrying four adults who had been on a water-skiing trip capsized around dusk Saturday as it navigated a logjam near a public boat ramp in Covington, sending all the people into the water.

The boat’s other three passengers made it to shore.
