Steidinger unchallenged in Fairbury feature win

FAIRBURY -- Wes “The Fairbury Flyer” Stedinger led wire-to-wire to claim his fourth late model feature win of the season Saturday night at the Fairbury American Legion Speedway.
Frank Shickel, Jr. of Bloomington finished second behind Steidinger and took over the season points lead. Scott Bull of Fairbury followed in third place and now stands third in points standings, six behind Shickel. Kevin Weaver of Gibson City was fourth while Darren Friedman placed fifth and trails Shickel by only two points.
Other feature winners were Chatsworth’s Lance Dehm (modified) and Scott Hazer of Plainfield who won the Gary Eden 30-lap Main Event for sportsman.
Season points winners in all divisions will be determined at next weekend’s finale.
