NORMAL — Pay equity and the gender gap will get some attention during a women’s resource expo Friday afternoon.

As keynote speaker, attorney Barbara Yong, the president of the Business and Professional Women of Illinois, will cover the latest research on those topics. She is a partner in the Chicago law firm of Golan & Christie LLP.

The expo, which is free and open to the public, will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Illinois State University’s Bone Student Center, in the faculty/commons area.

Sponsored by the American Association of University Women of Bloomington-Normal, it features more than 25 booths covering areas ranging from health and social services, to education and employment, personal safety, and Internet security.

For information on the event, call Grace Foote Johns at (309) 438-8758.
