Normal West vs. Decatur Eisenhower preview
Normal West travels to Decatur to take on Eisenhower at 7 p.m. today.
Records: West 0-1, 0-1 in Big 12 Conference; Eisenhower 0-1, 0-1
FYI: Normal West seeks to rebound from a 25-7 opening loss to Champaign Centennial. Eisenhower was blitzed by Mattoon 37-7 last week. West junior running back Darius Bell could have a big night. Mattoon’s Marshall Creed ran for 201 yards and Kyle Drummond 111 against Eisenhower. West will be without offensive guard/linebacker Luke McClintock (knee).
Quoting: “One of things we addressed was practice intensity. We’ve had a much better tempo as far as that goes. The main thing is just being more consistent on the offensive side. I saw a lot of positives with the defense. Hopefully, we can continue to build off of that.” — West coach Darren Hess
