Girls golf: Pioneers win own Invitational

Kaitlyn Wampler shot a 1-over-par 72 to lead University High to a 296 team total and a 23-shot win at the 15-team Pioneer Invitational Friday at the D.A. Weibring Golf Course.

U High teammates Lauren English and Janelle Galloway each carded a 3-over-par 74 to finish in a tie for second place while Cheryl Liang turned in a 5-over-par 76 for sixth place.

Normal Community was sixth with a 346.
