Erb cruises to victory at Farmer City

FARMER CITY -- Reigning Summernationals champion Dennis Erb Jr. of Carpentersville took the lead on the second lap and cruised to victory in the late model feature Friday night at Farmer City Raceway.
Erb, who earned $2,000 for the win, was followed across the finish line by Wes Steidinger of Fairbury, Junior Shickel of Bloomington, Tim Lance of Brimfield and Daren Friedman of Forrest.
Other feature winners were Buffalo’s Jeff Leka (modified), Bloomington’s Gary Turpin (sportsman), Farmer City’s Jim Quinn (street stock) and Decatur’s Joe Reed (hornets).
