Titan golfers in second place at Wartburg Invitational

Alessandra Bollero and Kristi Katz both moved into the top 10 Saturday to lead the Illinois Wesleyan women’s golf into second place after the first round of the Wartburg Invitational Centennial Oaks Golf Club in Waverly, Iowa.
Gustavus Adolphus fired a 309 to take a nine-stroke lead over the Titans. St. Thomas is third at 322 followed by Wartburg (323) and St. Ambrose (336).
Bollero is alone in second place at 3-over-par 75, and Katz is tied for sixth at 77. First-round leader Kali Griggs of Gustavus Adolphus fired a 74.
The final round will begin at 8 a.m. today.
