AMERICAN FORK, Utah -- A 42-year-old paraglider fatally shot himself in midflight after a domestic dispute, authorities said Thursday.

Witnesses reported that a "loud pop" was heard shortly before the motorized glider crashed, the Utah County Sheriff's Office said on its Web site.

Greg Kehl, 42, of Eagle Mountain was involved in a domestic dispute and fired a shot into the ground when someone tried to prevent him from grabbing a key to the aircraft Wednesday, the sheriff's office said.

The paraglider flew over a park and two golf courses before it crashed, witnesses said. Deputies were still looking for Kehl's handgun Thursday, the sheriff's office said.

" Well, here's the thing. Any person who would pay $8.00 for a beer at a theater is probably a raging alcoholic anyway. Not the kind of clientelle I would want at my business. "

" I agree with the first part of your comment, however the people that end up hurting the most are the ones left behind. Of course, this is something nobody will ever understand until they have to go through it. Seems like the person who commits suicide somehow convinces themselves that their wife, husband, siblings, parents, and kids would be better off without them. But really, it's all those people that hurt the most and usually end up blaming themselves for not stopping the suicide, thinking that they should have done something different and the person would never have killed them self. Sure, the people that are left behind are still alive, but that means they have to feel the grief and pain for having lost someone they love - which really doesn't get much better with time as so many people like to tell you. "

" is worth ME killing myself for! Who is on the losing end of this deal? It's certainly not the person he was having the dispute with; it's him. He's DEAD. The other person isn't. "
