Goldie M. Blake
GIBSON CITY - Goldie M. Blake, 78, Gibson City, died at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 3, 2007) at her home in rural Gibson City.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City. Burial will be in Drummer Township Cemetery, Gibson City. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Blake was born May 15, 1929, in Morgantown, Ky., a daughter of Grafton and Mary Lee Lindsey Phelps. She married Lilburn "Red" Blake on Oct. 29, 1947, in Greenville, Ky. He survives in Gibson City.
Also surviving is a son, Randall Blake, Gibson City; four grandsons, Marshall (Petrina) Blake, Saybrook; Jason Blake, Gibson City; Aaron Urrutia, Rantoul; and Josh Urrutia, Champaign; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara Jean Douglas, Allenstation, Ky.; Mabel Sadler, Elizabethtown, Ky.; and Tildie Sadler, Belton, Ky.; and a brother, Reathel Phelps, Belton, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons, two brothers and a sister.
Memorial tributes may be made to the American Lung Association or to Carle Hospice.
