" We received a notice the DAY it happened, although I was not aware that they knew where the "single women" lived, because I am a single mother. We were told to be aware and to lock our doors. I think it was a great job by lancaster just getting the word to us that promply. " This happened in my front yard. These were not con-men. The man who introduced himself as "Doug" said he was a new neighbor and told my wife she "beautiful". He kept trying to get he get her to go into the house with him to, "talk". She had our three kids and five neighborhood kids in our front yard with her...no other adult. When my neighbor's husband came outside "Doug" took off and got into the a white van and left. My neighbor followed them in his car and saw them get out and talk with a lone child a few blocks away. My neighbor called the cops and the van was pulled over a few block later. These guys were not selling anything. In my mind they are preditors. I would not call being extra alert about your children OVER-REACTING. Be mindful. Educate your kids. "
