MORTON -- Police in the central Illinois town of Morton have arrested a teenager in connection with two blow-dart attacks.

Morton detectives arrested the 15-year-old Tremont boy Wednesday. Chief Nick Graff says the teen was charged with two counts of aggravated battery and released to his parents.

A 12-year-old girl and a 24-year-old woman were hit with four-inch-long, metal-tipped blow darts in separate instances last week in Morton. The victims were pedestrians, and both are OK.

Officials say the Tremont teen was a passenger in a car.

The Tazewell County state's attorney's office says the case is under review.

" I agree with Ohh, why would we even think of allowing blow dart guns to be sold. What possible good could come of them. Not sure about the second comment though as guns aren't banned.........but probably should be. "
