Erb wins Farmer City 50

FARMER CITY — Dennis Erb Jr. of Carpentersville continued his red-hot summer Friday night by claiming the $5,000 first prize in the Farmer City 50 at Farmer City Raceway.

Erb, the reigning UMP Summernationals late model champion, was followed across the finish line by Wes Steidinger of Fairbury, Billy Moyer Jr. of Batesville, Ark., Brady Smith of Solon Springs, Wis., and Junior Shickel of Bloomington.

Other feature winners were Jeff Leka of Buffalo (modified), Wes O’Dell of Springfield (sportsman) and Greg Rubenacker of Kenney (street stock).

" Congrats to Jim Quinn 2007 and 2006 Farmer City Street Stock champion! Congrats to Scott Bull on winning the late model championship in your first full year racing a LM. Jeff Leka also won back to back championships in his modified. Greg Kimmons won the sportsman championship this year. "
