Local
School award — Fieldcrest South Elementary School teacher Beth Longman will go to Washington, D.C., for the school’s Blue Ribbon School award conference and ceremony. Her name was misspelled in Saturday’s Pantagraph.
Spelling bee — Carla Smith pronounced spelling words Thursday at the First Book McLean County Spelling Bee. She was misidentified in Friday’s Pantagraph. Also, the amount of the first prize was not correct. It was $750.
Life
Drew Carey — In a story about Drew Carey taking over for Bob Barker as host of “The Price is Right,” The Associated Press reported the CBS game show has had only two hosts. The story should have noted that an earlier version of the show with a different format was hosted by Bill Cullen on NBC and ABC. The story ran in Friday’s Pantagraph.
