Oct. 14 In CourtA 43-year-old man is accused of pushing another man into a glass door, breaking its glass, during a dispute over money Wednesday at a Bloomington pawn shop. Dean Paris of the 300 block of North Main Street was jailed in lieu of posting $2,500 on a charge of aggravated battery after a fight about 1 p.m. Wednesday. A court file said Paris was holding a sword during the confrontation over money at Mad Money Pawn, 314 N. Main St. Gun charge — A 23-year-old semitrailer truck driver was arrested after police said he showed a handgun during a dispute with another driver late Thursday on Bloomington’s west side. Willie L. May, of Yazoo City, Miss., was jailed lieu of $500 Friday on a charge of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. Controlled substance — A 24-year-old man is accused of illegally possessing hydrocodone Friday in Normal. Kyle F. Kelly was released on a personal recognizance bond on a charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. A court file lists his address in both the 300 block of Dewey Street in Normal and in Spring Grove. Police, fire, rescueCar hood ornament taken in Normal NORMAL — A hood ornament valued at $600 was stolen from a car Friday in the 100 block of West Stewart Street, according to a Normal police report. Vandalism — A car’s wires were cut Friday in the 2400 block of Fox Creek Road, Bloomington, a McLean County sheriff’s police report said. The damage was estimated at $400. |
