Eureka falls at Greenville

GREENVILLE — Greenville College running back Dominic Kegel rushed for five touchdowns and 212 yards to help hand Eureka College a 54-14 road loss at Francis Field on Saturday.
Eureka surrendered the game’s first 54 points and trailed 40-0 at halftime to fall to 1-5 overall and 1-3 in the Illini Badger Conference.
Red Devils quarterback Nick Lindsey completed 10 of 16 passes for 104 yards. He threw a 64-yard touchdown pass to Dillon Reed with 14 minutes, 44 seconds left in the game. Chris Wakid added a 2-yard scoring run midway through the fourth quarter to wrap up the scoring.
Greenville (2-4, 1-3) had 583 total yards of offense, although Eureka had the ball nearly 12 more minutes than Greenville.
