ISBPA-USBC team handicap tournament
Squads have been scheduled for the center round of the ISBPA-USBC Team Tournament. Squads are scheduled for Oct. 27, Nov. 3 and Nov. 4. All squads are at 1 pm. Entry fee is $13. The tournament consists of teams of five in each category. Entry forms are available at Pheasant Lanes or by contacting Carla Dicken at Carla@pheasantyouth.com or (309) 319-4121.
Illinois youth championship tourney
The center qualifying period for the 2008 Illinois Pepsi Tournament is Oct. 13-26. Center qualifiers will advance to the Zone 7 tournament to be held at Circle Lanes on Jan 6. for ages 11 and under and on Feb. 24 for ages 12 and over. League scores are used at the center qualifying level. There is no entry fee.
Around the lanes
-- At Circle Lanes, the following split conversions were reported: Penny Berg 4-6-7-10;
-- At Pheasant Lanes, the following split conversions were reported: Kim Duffer 5-8-10, Mickey Laskowski 5-8-10, Robin Helenthal 6-7;
-- Youth bowlers Jake Moravec (202) and Joey Mailloux (200) bowled their first 200 games. Dustin Mailloux bowled his first 500 series (506), which is 137 pins over average.
-- Travis Kessinger rolled a 167 triplicate in the Rising Stars League.
-- Samantha Cole bowled a 144 triplicate in the Businessmen’s League.
