PEORIA — America’s reigning King of the Blues is returning to perform for his Central Illinois subjects this fall.

B.B. King, who turned 82 on Sept. 16, has been signed for a 7:30 p.m. Nov. 28 concert in the Peoria Civic Center Theatre in Peoria. Joining him will be his faithful guitar, Lucille.

Tickets are $42.50 to $75, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 20 at the Civic Center Box Office and all area Ticketmaster outlets.

King’s most recent album, “80,” was nominated for a Best Traditional Blues Album Grammy Award and featured collaborations on blues standards with an all-star lineup that included Eric Clapton, Elton John and others.

King’s other honors include seven Grammy Awards, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and membership in both the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame and the Blues Hall of Fame.
