BLOOMINGTON — The McLean County Community Compact and the Bloomington Area Vocational Center will host a career expo geared toward eighth-graders Wednesday.

Nearly 2,000 students are expected to attend the event from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Interstate Center, 2301 W. Market St., Bloomington.

The program will give eighth-grade students heading into high school an early peek at area business and technical careers.

Immediately following the expo, the site will host an open house for high school students interested in the vocational center’s tech education programs.
