Church, town team on redevelopment
NORMAL — University Christian Church and the town of Normal have teamed up to find a redevelopment proposal for the church property at 206 North St.
The church congregation recently voted to sell the property. Price is $1.25 million.
Proposals must be submitted by noon Nov. 19 and can reuse of all or part of the original 1911 building or demolition with a planned new structure. If the church is reused, it can not be used as a night club, adult entertainment facility or any use that involves using alcohol.
