Chatsworth man pleads guilty to sex abuse of girls
PONTIAC -- A Chatsworth man has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing two girls.
Clifton Olds, 28, waived his right to a jury trial and entered the pleas to two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse stemming from incidents with a 5-year-old girl in December 2006 and June 2007.
On Monday, Livingston County First Assistant State’s Attorney Carey Luckman also charged Olds with abusing an 8-year-old girl in April or May of 2001. The single occurrence occurred while he was babysitting, Luckman said.
Aggravated criminal sexual abuse is a Class 2 felony. Upon conviction, it carries a possible prison sentence of three to seven years.
Sentencing is pending results of a sexual abuse evaluation that could take from six to eight weeks, said Circuit Judge Harold Frobish.
Frobish tentatively scheduled a sentencing date of Dec. 3.
