PONTIAC -- A Chatsworth man has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing two girls.

Clifton Olds, 28, waived his right to a jury trial and entered the pleas to two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse stemming from incidents with a 5-year-old girl in December 2006 and June 2007.

On Monday, Livingston County First Assistant State’s Attorney Carey Luckman also charged Olds with abusing an 8-year-old girl in April or May of 2001. The single occurrence occurred while he was babysitting, Luckman said.

Aggravated criminal sexual abuse is a Class 2 felony. Upon conviction, it carries a possible prison sentence of three to seven years.

Sentencing is pending results of a sexual abuse evaluation that could take from six to eight weeks, said Circuit Judge Harold Frobish.

Frobish tentatively scheduled a sentencing date of Dec. 3.

" All that judge knows how to is give out prison sentences to already inmates serving life.and sentence the drug addict teenagers to prison. There the ones who need the help not prison. This guy should be sent to prison for life. "

" Please people, back off from the harsh comments. Justice has been served. Judge Frobish knows what he is doing. Judge Frobish is a fair man. Incarceration may not be the answer. Maybe counselling and psychiatric help is all this man needs. "

" I can't believe how little time this animal will spend behind bars. Who knows how many other kids have been abused by him and how many more he will abuse once he gets out. People just do not understand what kind of emotional, anger and trust issues these kids will have for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately I know from experience that you will never forget no matter how many years pass. I wish the justice system would protect the children and lock these animals up for life - one strike and you are OUT! "

" Ok so your saying that just because the girls get to live they are better off? How is that? do you really mean to tell me that you have no idea how ruined these girls will be for the rest of their lives? These two subjects have nothing to do with the other, your the one who needs to look in the mirror, why you would compare the two is beyond me. what is wrong with you of course DUI's should get punished but that doesn't mean this guy should get off the hook for the damage he has caused, how dare you even think you have the right to make small of their situation!! "

" i agree with you but i still think that death is a better choice for this type of crime. most of the sex offenders will reepeat the same type of crime even worse when released from there slap on the wriet that they are getting now .maybe they should bring back public hangings.on viloent crimes and forceable crimes .maybe that would help detour the thoughts that they have of molesting the babies and young . " Those numbers are the reason why their is no deterrence to this type of crime, none.... This person hurt someone and will effect the victim for the rest of their entire life, as I know first hand, yet this man will only get a max of 7 years..... Where is the justice for the victim? We must demand that laws be changed and sex offenders be locked up for a minimum of 40 years with no chance of parole. This type of crime has a real victim and we must fight this trend of abusing others that is gripping the nation. Stop locking non-violent offenders up and lock those up whom are the real danger to everyone, for good and through away the key. Please everyone write your state Reps and demand a tougher stance on this type of crime, before it's to late...... "

" make anyone right. The people who post these rants about "this type of low life bottom feeding waste of oxygen", meaning a person with a out-of-the-usual sex object choice while excusing people who choose to drive under the influence, sicken me. Now, explain how it is worse to "inappropriately touch" a minor than it is to plow into that child, and his or her sibs and parents with a ton or more of speeding , out-of-control metals and glass? To see a person who has twisted priorities, check your nearest mirror. "

Waffle of Justice wrote on Oct 22, 2007 10:36 PM:

" Sadly we live in a country where special interest groups make sure people like this have rights against cruel and unusual punishment. Good news though, special interest groups aren't in prisons, and child molesters are treated poorly, often receiving the same punishment they delivered on a nightly basis. "

" i think that the punisment that you speak is way to leniet for this type of low life bottom feeding waste of oxygen .i think maybe the electric chair should be brought back.its a good thing it wasnt my daughter or even one of my granddaughters . i would be the one behind bars now if it was that case .and hoping for a jury that would see it my way for killing him. "

No Wonder He Plead Guilty wrote on Oct 22, 2007 5:35 PM:

" Frobish is the judge who has a history for being lenient with child molesters. This guy is not going to get near what he deserves, which in my opinion is a vasectomy with a jagged buck knife. These creightons need locked away forever to keep little kids safe. "
