Woman crashes into rehab center
BLOOMINGTON — A Bloomington woman trying to park her midsize car near a physical therapy and rehabilitation center Sunday morning was unable to stop and crashed into the building, police said.
Tammie Stanley, 40, of the 200 block of North Allin Street, ran into the Rehabcare Group building, 1925 S. Main St., Bloomington, about 5:45 a.m. Sunday, Bloomington police said. The driver hit an exterior window and four exterior outside support columns, police said.
Stanley was charged with driving an uninsured motor vehicle, police said, and was treated and released from BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal, a nursing supervisor said.
Car vandalized — A car’s windshield was broken Saturday in the 600 block of Orlando Avenue, Normal, a police report said.
The left side mirror and rear windshield wiper also were removed. The car also had scrapes and scratches.
Theft — A DVD/CD player was stolen from the dashboard of a car in the 800 block of Pine Street on Thursday, a Normal police report said.
Theft — A 27-inch television, washing machine and dryer, safe and jewelry box were stolen from a house in the 24100 block of Ron Smith Memorial Highway, Hudson, according to a McLean County sheriff’s department report.
