ISU dean finalist for presidency

NORMAL — The University of North Dakota has named an Illinois State University administrator among finalists in its search for a president.

Gary Olson, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, is among the list of 16 finalists announced this week.

In January, Olson was one of the final four in a bid for provost of Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant. Since 2004, Olsen has served as dean of the largest of ISU’s six colleges.

University of North Dakota officials plan to pare down the finalists list Nov. 5, host campus visits two months later, and name a president in February.
