Flanagan-Woodland vs. Orion

Records: Flanagan-Woodland 11-0; Orion 11-0

Playoff experience: Flanagan-Woodland -- 12th appearance, 11-10 all-time in playoffs; Orion -- 8th appearance, 6-7 all-time.

FYI: Top-seeded Flanagan-Woodland is coming off a 42-6 rout of Clifton Central … The Falcons average 39.6 points per game while allowing 9.6 … Senior running back Aaron Willis has rushed for 1,847 yards and 17 touchdowns, while senior quarterback David Harnish has completed 42 of 75 passes for 748 yards and 11 TDs with three interceptions … No. 4 seed Orion, champion of the Olympic Conference, has been led by junior quarterback Josh Hutton, who is 74 of 126 passing for nearly 1,700 yards with 20 touchdowns and one interception … The running game has been fueled by junior Matt Knoll (880 yards) and senior Cal DePorter (800 yards, 19 TDs).

Playoff experience: Pontiac -- 16th appearance, 24-14 all-time in playoffs; Metamora -- 24th appearance, 46-22 all-time

FYI: No. 2 seed Pontiac will try to slow down a Metamora offense averaging 453 yards and 50.6 points per game … Metamora 6-foot-5 senior quarterback Caleb TerBush, a Purdue recruit, is 61 of 96 passing for 1,319 yards and 12 TDs with three interceptions. He also has run for 678 yards and 14 scores … Running back Brock Gray, an Eastern Illinois recruit, has 1,569 yards rushing and a school-record 28 touchdowns … Tight end/linebacker Brad Herman (6-5, 220) is headed to Iowa … Top-seeded and No. 1-ranked Metamora has allowed an average of 184 yards and 8.9 points per game … Pontiac needs another big game from junior quarterback/cornerback Michael Panno, who has six interceptions in two postseason games. He has thrown for 1,468 yards and 14 touchdowns this season and rushed for 656 yards and seven TDs … Pontiac freshman Chase Alford has 823 yards rushing and 11 scores.
