" Boomer was great... in IAA football. The step between being great in IAA and D1 is huge. And then the step from being good in either of those to the NFL is even bigger. For being undersized, and a step slow for the NFL, he's done well for himself. I have great respect for Boomer for his accomplishments, and would never speak a shallow word about him. Neither should you! I would give anything to be an average NFL player, get payed minimum to get beat around every day. He's just a man living his dream! And just so happens to be the only thing ISU has to claim fame with at the moment. Osiris will be the next! "

" I wonder why he couldnt play linebacker in the league? Instead they TRY to convert him to a fullback? I dont think he has ever played fullback at any level. He was a beast when he was here. I remember seeing him in Linkins and he was absolutely HUGE. I also remember how he was allowed to park his Explorer wherever he wanted and no one cared. Handicapped spot, sidewalk, quad, wherever. " Boomer Grigsby is his name, and well, that’s all I got. Don’t know who he is? No worries, outside of Kansas City, I doubt anyone does. The Miami Dolphins however are now working on the special teams unit, signing the ST player. Last year the special teams was literally a who’s who of short bus riders…no offense to the millions of kids who actually ride one, I would be embarrassed too.

" To be honest, I really could care less about the whole Boomer Grigsby phenomenon. He is a decent guy with marginal talents on defense that is capable of helping out his team by playing on special teams and occasionally going out for screen pass or two but the stats dont lie. He wasn't productive at all in the NFL. His days are numbered, so better invest your money because you will end up coming back to Canton sooner or later.

That’s about it. All you Boomer loving fools can shout at me until you’re blue in the face about how amazing Grigsby is, but in reality, the Chiefs will not be hurt in any way by this move. He could have been Carl Peterson’s personal assistant or the team’s official towelboy and I wouldn’t have been able to tell the difference other than the fact that they let him wear pads on gameday.
