“She hit one very hard today,” said Olympia coach Al Toliver. “I think that is as hard as I’ve seen a girl hit a ball.”

Liach struck out four and walked two. Chelsea Batty (2-2) took the loss after striking out one and walking two.

Olympia’s Courtney Martin went three for four at the plate with one triple. Teammate Hailley Haning also had three hits and drove in a run.

Nichelle Harrison led BHS with two hits and Amanda Hainlen drove in two runs.

“It was awful,” said BHS coach Kat Mason of the weather. “It was hard to play your best.”
