Police: Man's ear bitten off during bar fight

CASEYVILLE -- Police say a man had an ear bitten off during a Metro East bar fight.

Caseyville police Detective Steve Epps says the trouble happened early Thursday at the Neighborhood Inn.

Epps says a suspect is in custody in Belleville, but he hasn't yet been charged.

The suspect and the injured man are both in their 30s.

There's no word on whether the victim was able to have his ear reattached.

Epps says more details are expected to be released Friday.
