" To lizzie: How are you not treated equally in the work force or anything else? "

" I too am a woman and agree that this woman got off entirely too easy. She should be in prison. The child and and his were robbed of justice.

" I agree that this is a total injustice and shame on the judge for giving her probation. She should have been sent to prison. I am female and I do agree that if this were a man he would have been sent to prison. I may be get blasted for agreeing with the gentlemen here but I don't care this is just as bad as a man who molests a girl of the same age. "

" To Geez! - Women don't get treated equally. I would take equality in the work force, equality in politics, etc. over letting some women get away with molesting boys. You're right. We aren't treated fairly. I would love to see it change. "

" No double-standard there, eh?

And some women whine that, "it's so hard for women to be treated equally!". Seems to me that the whining stops when the balance tips in their favor only. Most, but not all, don't care about true equality - but only as long as it's to their advantage.

Before I'm castigated as a "sexist", be honest with yourself and what you see around you.

You want equality? Start by balancing out the justice system.

Geez!

" Even without knowing the details, this is yet another case of judicial reverse discrimination. "

" hate to say it, but if it were a man, probation wouln't have been an option "

" Why should she get probation when she is no better than any man that would do the same thing? She should not have been able to plead down. What's to prevent her from doing the same thing again? "

" Another travesty 'o justice. If it was a 27 year old man sexually abusing a 17 year old girl he would have got YEARS AND YEARS in prison . The gender bias in these cases is appearant by the disparity of sentances given. "
