Youth group's gesture makes a mother's day
Advertisement

While at Anderson Park Saturday afternoon, my family and I were approached by a youth group carrying a digital camera and flowers. They asked if I was a mother to which I replied yes. I was then handed a nice bouquet of flowers and had my picture taken with the group.

I am sorry I missed the name of the group, but wanted to thank them for the lovely flowers. Their mothers should all be proud of them.

" I agree with "Zeva": God Bless these wonderful kids. "

" This is so sad! If people don't have something to gripe about they can't seem to write in. Now this is something that gives our kids a high five and no one seems to care. Have people become so callous that they can't see the good and only the negative? Fortunately I see both sides of the coin and prefer the good side that involves our young adults that will one day be running this country and these are the ones I want there for my grandchildren. So for all the rest of the people of the area that can't see the good, I will salute these kids and say I'm proud of them. "

" What a fantastic gesture from our young people. So many put them down but we do have a lot of wonderful kids out their. If your child was one of this group, let them know how proud you are of them. Never fail to praise or compliment your kid it goes a long way for self esteem. They should be so proud of themselves for thinking of others. "
