Dee-Mack handles Ridgeview 28-7

COLFAX -- Christian Kilby scored a pair of second-quarter touchdowns as Deer Creek-Mackinaw built a 22-7 lead by halftime en route to a 28-7 conference victory over Ridgeview at Colfax.
Garrett Gesell gave Dee-Mack (2-1, 1-1) a 6-0 lead in the opening period with a 1-yard plunge. After Ridgeview took a 7-6 lead early in the second quarter on a 1-yard run by Matt Johnson, Kilby tallied on a pair of 2-yard TD runs to give Dee-Mack the lead for good.
Cole Weishaupt finished the scoring on the rain-soaked field with a 1-yard sneak in the third quarter for the Chiefs.
Johnson ended with a team-high 61 yards rushing on 14 carries for Ridgeview (0-3, 0-3). Quarterback Derek Powell completed 12 of 17 passes for 99 yards. Brandon Naas caught five balls for 50 yards.
