Brewer piles up big numbers in Bulldogs' romp over PC

FAIRBURY -- Running back Andrew Brewer scampered for 319 yards and four touchdowns as the Bulldogs rolled to a Corn Belt Conference 49-7 win over the Hawks on homecoming at Fairbury. | Box scores, schedules, stats
Brewer ripped off scoring runs of 8, 5, 70 and 1 yards as Mahomet-Seymour (4-0, 3-0 Corn Belt) raced out to a 35-0 lead midway through the second quarter. The Bulldogs’ running game dominated once again, racking up 387 yards and six touchdowns on 43 carries. Fullback Bobby Schroeder chipped in 37 yards and two scores on blasts of 2 and 11 yards.
Quarterback Spenser Williams threw a 60-yard touchdown pass to Mick Graham.
The lone Prairie Central (2-2, 2-2) score came on a 10-yard toss from Jeremy Peters to Mitchell McDonald. Peters was 15-for-30 for 126 yards while the Hawks ground game lost 16 yards on 19 carries.
